Annual calculation and collation of Full-Time Student Equivalent (FTSE) data

Overview of Exercise

  • 2005-2006, 2006-07 and 2007-08
    For the academic years 2005-06 to 2007-08 the calculation and input of FTSE data was done for each school by School Administrators and the overall exercise was reconciled by the Senior Lecturer's Office.
  • 2008-09 and future years
    From the academic year 2008-09 the calculation and input of FTSE data will be completed in the first instance by the Vice-Provost's Office, and subsequently checked by the School Administrators. FTSE data is now used to drive the allocation of income and costs in the Academically-based Resource Allocation Mechanism (ARAM).
