TRISS Research Assistants
TRiSS hosts a number research assistants working on a range of projects:
Dr Selen Sarisoy Guerinholds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations from Bogazici University (Turkey), an MBA degree from University of Maine (USA) and a PhD degree in Economics from University of Dublin, Trinity College (Ireland). Her research interests are broadly in international economics covering areas such as international trade, international capital flows, EU trade policy and its impact on poverty reduction in developing countries, global imbalances and investment treaties. Selen has published her work in international refereed journals such as The World Economy, Economics Letters and Review of World Economics.
Andreja has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Political Science Department of Trinity College since September 2016. At Trinity College she works on the Horizon 2020 project Cohesify (http://www.cohesify.eu/). Her research interests include cohesion policy, the role parliaments in the governance system of the EU, and EU Staff. Her website is www.pegan.org.
Richard recently graduated from Trinity having studied a Two Subject Moderatorship of Economics and Psychology. He is working as a Research Assistant to Prof. Eleanor Denny on a behavioural economics project concerning consumer behavior in relation to the energy efficiency of household appliances. During his time as an undergraduate at Trinity, Richard served as Finance Manager to the Student Economic Review for the academic year 2014/15 and won the Donagh Lynch Medal for Best Applied Economics Essay in the 2016 Review.
