Studying Abroad
Spending a year living, studying and / or working abroad is an invaluable experience and an aspect of a languages degree which is particularly valued by employers.
In all courses, apart from TSM, students spend their third year in a German or Austrian university. For further information see
For TSM students, however, it is very strongly advised and fact, virtually all students taking TSM German do spend a year abroad during their course. This may be in the second year, but much more commonly students take a year ‘off books’ after their third year and spent it in a German-speaking University or as a teaching assistant in a German school.
