Cessation and Suspension of Undergraduate Courses

Proposals to discontinue undergraduate programmes, having the support of the School Committee, the School Executive and the Faculty Dean, must be presented to the Undergraduate Studies Committee (USC) prior to being considered by the University Council for its final decision. Comments emanating from USC will accompany the cessation proposal to Council.

Requests for discontinuation must be made on the designated form and submitted in hardcopy to the Academic Secretary, West Theatre, Trinity College, at least one working week before the relevant USC meeting. A copy of the form can be downloaded here (MS Word).

Requests for suspension of programmes must be made on the designated form. A copy of the form can be downloaded here (MS Word). The Faculty Dean and Head of School must approve the suspension of the programme by signing the form.
