Meet our Research Staff

• Dr Sonam Prakashini Banka Research Fellow, Using a Back Calculation Model to Estimate the Asymptomatic COVID-19 Population in Ireland
• Dr. Isil Coklar Okutkan Research Fellow, Postdoctoral Researcher working on the SEURO project. She holds an MA and a PhD in Social Psychology and has been actively involved in teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate level psychology students since 2013.
• Dr Sarah Nally Research Fellow, currently assisting with service improvement and innovation initiatives at the Dublin Midlands Hospital Group (DMHG), aiming to improve evidence-based care and practice.
• Dr Debra O’Neill Research Fellow- Debra is a researcher with 20+ years’ experience in healthcare policy, organisational change, and community-based work with marginalised groups. She leads the SAFER Communities WHO Programme and is a skilled mixed methodologist, certified mediator, and emotional intelligence practitioner.
• Dr Filipa Teixeira Research Fellow/Project Manager, Filipa is working on the SEURO project as project manager and as WP2 lead, aiming to develop and evaluate digital health behavior change interventions, focusing on older adults managing multi morbidity.
• Dr. Iryna Mazhak Research Fellow - Dr. Iryna Mazhak, a CARAMEL research fellow, has over 10 years of research and teaching experience in medical sociology, women’s health, the social determinants of health inequalities, and migrant health. She holds an MPA and a PhD in Medical Sociology and is experienced in mixed methods research.
• Ms Aoife Troy Research Assistant - Aoife assists with National Clinical Guideline No. 21 on psychotropic prescribing in dementia. With a background in psychology and research, she has experience in neurodegenerative diseases, cognition, and supporting vulnerable populations.
