HSE Dublin and Midlands

History of Collaboration

In September 2024, a partnership research capacity building program was established between HSE Dublin and Midlands and the Trinity Centre for Practice & Healthcare Innovation (TCPHI), School of Nursing and Midwifery. This initiative builds on prior collaborations with hospitals like St James's Hospital (SJH), Tallaght University Hospital (TUH), and Naas General Hospital (NGH).

A steering committee meets regularly to oversee the collaboration. Members include, the Director of Nursing, representatives from Nursing Practice Development and the Centre for Learning and Development, along with the TCPHI researcher Dr Sarah Nally & Principal Investigator Professor Anne-Marie Brady.

Role of the Healthcare Researcher

The primary goal of the TCPHI researcher (Dr Sarah Nally) is to support and advance collaborative, nurse-led research between TCPHI and the HSE Dublin and Midlands Hospital Group. This work focuses on enhancing practice and improving patient care through high-quality research.
