Welcome to Session 3

Welcome back to the course. This session we will be looking at how you can get help for physical and mental issues you might be facing, and exploring mental wellbeing in motherhood.

Having the confidence to talk to a healthcare professional can sometimes be difficult, but we will be sharing tips, strategies and tools to advocate for your own health care.

  • You will listen to mothers who have experienced mental health issues and how they sought help when they needed it.
  • Find out how to speak up for yourself and your health
  • We will be sharing a checklist that you can bring with you to your doctor or healthcare professional to help you gather your thoughts before and during your appointment.
  • We will be exploring postnatal depression and anxiety, how to identify it, and when to seek help.
