Go for a walk on the shortest day of the year

Today is the shortest day of the year. From now on, the days will get a little bit brighter every day.

It is important to get outside during the day when it is bright.

If you are in the southern part of the country, try to get out for a walk at noon today, to celebrate the shortest day.

The weather is not good at noon in the northern part of the country so you might have to wait until later or tomorrow.

Remember that it is important to get outside during the winter when it is bright.

It was a bit gloomy in Newgrange this morning, but they captured the sun coming up into the tomb at Newgrange yesterday morning.

We hope you are enjoying the run-up to Christmas
