    Ashleigh is a research fellow working on the development of OPTIMA-ID: Optimising Pharmaco-Therapy and Improving Medication for Ageing with Intellectual Disability (lead by Assistant Professor Juliette O’Connell) as well as EQUIP: Examining Quality, Use and Impact of Psychotropic (Use) in older adults with intellectual disabilities (lead by Assistant Professor Máire O’Dwyer). Prior to joining IDS-TILDA, Ashleigh worked as a project lead on the To-Reach study (a joint European research programme aimed at producing research evidence to support healthcare services) at the Health Research Board, and as a health information officer at the Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland. She is currently completing her PhD on appropriate prescribing for older adults in primary care at Trinity College Dublin.

    Ashleigh enjoys bringing research and science to the general population and volunteers as Co-Director of Pint of Science Ireland; a charity which brings science, technology, engineering and arts and humanities researchers to local pubs and cafes to share their work and make science more accessible.
