My name is Fionn Crombie Angus. I’m in my mid twenties, and rent an apartment in Galway. I manage my own HSE funding and have live-in support.

I direct a social entreprise with my dad called Fionnathan Productions, teaching children about nature and adults about inclusion. I use social media mainly for work. We have a webpage, and a Youtube channel with hundreds of videos of me asking people about creativity, about community, and about what they love.

I’m on Zoom at least daily, for commitee meetings or conferences, as presenter or attendee. I’ve given remote lectures at seven universities, and provided consultations for numerous projects, including the recent Irish Government Report on the UNCRPD.

We use the internet to collaborate and to share our film making work. During the pandemic we’ve had eight commissions. I’ve been interviewed on three podcasts, and I’m planning one myself. I’ve livestreamed concerts and my comedy routines, sometimes with performers in other countries.

When I’m out and about, I use phone apps to help with my busking in the city centre, and to keep a bird species count on nature walks.

It’s a great time to be someone living with a learning disability, and I am fortunate to have such a rich digital life. I like to help others use technology to reach their goals. For that reason, I’m happy to be on this group.
