Special arrangements for Commencements and other conferral Ceremonies during the Covid-19 pandemic

During the Covid-19 pandemic, and the national restrictions in place to reduce the spread of the virus, Commencements and other conferral Ceremonies are being conducted remotely, with graduands being conferred in absentia.

The ceremonies on 7 April 2020 were the first time in the history of the university that Commencements were conducted remotely. We were also honoured to have An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar speak at the conferring of Bachelors in Medicine, in Surgery and in Obstetrics on 28 April 2020.

Congratulations to all who have completed their qualifications in 2020. Videos of the remote ceremonies can be viewed here:

We are investigating options for return to face-to-face Commencements depending on Covid-19 developments.
