The event in the Trinity Long Room Hub on 25th September 2025 was entitled 'The flag that doesn't exist - yet? Reimagining symbols in Nothern Ireland and Ireland' and was chaired by Etain Tannam. David Mitchell set out an argument for creating a new, shared symbol in the north, outlining the inadequacy of the status quo, the benefits of a new flag, as well as how this relates to the debate on Irish unity.
