My expertise lies in ecology and biodiversity, connecting human and natural ecosystems through urban and agricultural land management and natural capital research. An internationally recognised expert in pollinator ecology and biodiversity advocacy, I co-founded the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan and Natural Capital Ireland, and serve as President of the Royal Entomological Society.

I am a geomorphologist / geographer working on achieving fair, equitable, and just climate adaptation and mitigation through a better understanding of how coastal systems function and humans interact with them over daily to decadal time scales.
