Step 1: Ultra Essentials Training Session
The Ultra Essentials session takes approximately one hour. There are no prerequisites for this session. You can complete this training by clicking on the link below to access the self-paced module
Please ensure that you complete the Task: Ultra Essentials Completion Confirmation within the self-paced training module once you have completed this training session. We will collect and share details of your training progress and migration preparation with your School management and the Blackboard Ultra Upgrade project team so you can be contacted for further information and reminders as necessary.
Learning Objectives
On completing this session, participants will have a familiarity with most features in Blackboard Ultra and be able to carry out simple tasks like navigating, enrolling users, building content and previewing content.
What will be covered:
- Orientation of Ultra Module – users will know where the key elements of Ultra Modules are located and get an overview of how to navigate the module.
- Class Register – users will learn how to enrol a staff or students to the module, how to view user information and how to search the module’s user list.
- Options and Settings – users will be given an overview of the various options/settings available to them and what they can do with them.
- Module Structure – users will learn how to add a learning topic & folder to a module and how these can be used to structure a module.
- Building Content – users will learn how to upload files to their module, how to use module and external links and how to build Ultra documents.
- Announcements – users will be able to send module announcements to all students in their module.
- Student Preview – users will be able to preview their module as a student user.
