You are invited to join the Women in Research Network for their first webinar featuring Dr. Angela Hefti, Assistant Professor at Florida International University, College of Law. Dr. Hefti will discuss her research on women’s involvement in climate change and the human rights challenges that emerge in this context. During this webinar, she will present her paper, An ecofeminist approach to climate risks. She will also share insights from her journey as a woman in academia, followed by a Q&A session.
Dr. Hefti holds a PhD in Law from the University of Lucerne, where her award-winning dissertation led to her book Conceptualizing Femicide as a Human Rights Violation. Her career includes research work at Harvard University, Yale Law School, the Max Planck Institute, and the Schell Center for International Human Rights, as well as work with international courts and human rights organizations.
