Professor Patrick Geoghegan, School of Histories and Humanities and Trinity Long Room Hub, spoke about the origin of modern day St Patrick’s day celebrations on Newstalk Breakfast on 16 March 2026: How the St. Patrick’s Day festival became what it is today.
Dr Kristin Hadfield, School of Psychology, was a co-author, with 11 universities across Europe, the Middle East, and North America, on newly published research which ‘validates a novel observational tool that allows researchers to accurately measure the quality of interactions between young children and their caregivers even if they do not understand the language being spoken’.
