Professor Massimo Faggioli, School of Religion, Theology and Peace Studies, writes a comment piece for La Croix in France on the assassination of Charlie Kirk and that the [Catholic] Church will soon have to confront the nationalist neo-Catholicism made in the USA. Dr Paula Maycock, School of Social Work and Social Policy, is featured in an article about the recent National Women’s Council conference which called for Government housing policy to incorporate women’s safety. She said that in the current housing crisis, women in abusive relationships are having to choose between homelessness, for both themselves and their children, and a continuation of their suffering. Professor Jane Ohlmeyer, School of Histories and Humanities, provides expert comment on the historic roots of Ireland's position on Palestine in an article in The National 12 September 2025: Ireland and UK share lessons on Palestine before two-state announcement

 

Dr Patrick Walsh, School of Histories and Humanities, writes an article exploring Trinity's colonial legacies, including its position as a landowner and landlord in Ireland, and the rituals that still survive in College today. Dr Walsh is currently writing a book, with colleagues Dr Ciaran O’Neill and Dr Mobeen Hussain in the School of Histories and Humanities, on the university’s colonial legacies.
