Royal Irish Academy elects 28 new members, Including Prof. Andrew Murphy from The School of EnglishThe Royal Irish Academy (RIA) celebrated Admittance Day on 26th May when 24 of 28 newly elected Members were officially admitted to the Academy for their exceptional contributions to the sciences, humanities and social sciences, as well as to public service. Newly elected members from Trinity College Dublin are Provost Linda Doyle, Professor Siobhán Clarke, Professor Mike Lyons, Professor Sinéad Ryan, Professor Andrew Murphy and Professor Linda Hogan. Dr Sean Hewitt appointed Assistant Professor in Literary Practice, School of EnglishCongratulations to Dr. Sean Hewitt who has been appointed as our new Assistant Professor in Literary Practice. Dr. Hewitt be expanding our teaching and research in the writing of poetry at the School of English across all levels, and will be on the lookout for PhD applications in creative-critical poetry.
