Jayashree Dasgupta

Jayashree Dasgupta is an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health at Trinity College, Dublin. She is a clinical psychologist and completed her MPhil and PhD from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, India in 2009. Her work has focussed on development of psychological assessments and mental healthcare in low-and-middle-income settings (LMIC). As the Co-Founder and Project Director of Samvedna Care, India, she has been involved with translating evidence based practices to develop services for mental well-being, active aging and dementia care. She is also an ethics researcher and is interested in issues around access to health information and interventions in LMIC contexts.

Jayashree has led a project under the Global Initiative in Neuropsychiatric Ethics (NeuroGenE), University of Oxford, exploring the ethical, legal and social issues of cognitive enhancement in India. She is interested to incorporate perspectives from LMIC contexts into clinical research and is a member of the International Neuroethics Society Diversity & Inclusion Task Force.
