Bill Watts first entered the Botany Department as an undergraduate in 1950 and remained intimately linked with it for the rest of his life as a teacher, researcher, administrator and mentor. He made his last visit to the Department in April, a few weeks before he died. Bill’s wit and wise council are sorely missed by all in the Department. To celebrate his life we reproduce here some of the obituaries that have been published recently.
