Mairead O'Donnell

Mairéad holds a BSc. (Hons) in Environmental and Geographical Sciences from the Technological University of the Shannon, and an MSc. in Development Practice from Trinity College Dublin. Her primary research interests are participatory research methods, social-ecological-technological systems, and urban resilience. She is currently undertaking her PhD with the ERC-funded project NovelEco, under the supervision of Dr. Marcus Collier (Dept. of Botany, Trinity College Dublin). Her PhD project investigates the contribution of urban wild spaces to the resilience of cities through a social-ecological-technological lens incorporating co-design methods. Mairéad currently works part-time as a Teaching Assistant/Guest Lecturer on the Managing Climate Change Module in Trinity Business School and as an Assistant to Trinity’s Vice President for Biodiversity and Climate Action. She also volunteers as PhD Representative for the ADAPT Research Centre.
