Vice President for Global Relations
Professor Ohlmeyer took up the role of Vice President for Global Relations on 1st September 2011. She joined the University in 2003 when she was appointed the Erasmus Smith's Professor of Modern History. Prior to that Professor Ohlmeyer worked at the University of Aberdeen, the University of California at Santa Barbara and Yale University. She has held visiting appointments at New York University and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes in Paris.

Caroline’s primary geographical focus is the USA, Canada and Russia. She joined the Global Relations team in June 2013 from a US study abroad not-for-profit where she worked for five years. Prior roles included working in the charity sector, including Amnesty International, and in Cork City Council. Caroline’s interest in international education began as an undergraduate exchange student in Ontario, Canada. She holds a BA in Politics and Economics and an MA in International Studies. She is also working towards a professional qualification in Public Relations.

Ronan was appointed Regional Officer for India in August 2012, having previously worked in international promotions for the College since September 2011. He is responsible for recruitment of undergraduate and postgraduate students in India, and developing relationships with Indian schools, universities and other organisations. Ronan is a graduate of the College, with a degree in Experimental Physics (2004) and an MSc by Research in Nanoscience (2012). He has been deeply involved in the societies and students' unions of the College for many years, is currently Honorary Treasurer of the Central Societies Committee, and has served as an Assistant Warden in Trinity Hall since 2010.

Susan joined Trinity College Dublin in November 2003, starting in the Economics department before working as an international recruitment officer for the College. In the past year she has been working as a student recruitment officer for the MBA and MSc programmes in the School of Business during which time she recruited for one of the largest MBA classes in Trinity for the past ten years. Susan attended Boston University and Ramapo College of New Jersey where she completed a BA in International Business and Marketing. Previous experience was in IT/Banking, working with NatWest in the United States and several start up/turn key IT companies such as Microsoft, Intel and First-E in Ireland.

Genevieve joined the Global Relations team from a previous post as Director of Irish operations for an international education not-for-profit. Prior roles included international property investment and political and consular work for the US State Department. Genevieve is responsible for the recruitment of undergraduate and postgraduate students across multiple markets inclusive of Latin America, Turkey, and the Middle East, Russia and Central Asia and for fostering relationships with education authorities and institutions across these regions. Genevieve holds a BA in History, Irish and European Studies from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and an MPhil in International Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin. She also has experience as a visiting student in Ireland, having completed a portion of her undergraduate degree at Trinity.

Erika will coordinate the Global Officers and facilitates communication between the Schools, the Global Relations Office and Trinity Foundation. Formerly an administrator with Enterprise Ireland and Trinity's School of Engineering, she returned to study and holds a BA and PhD in Psychology. She has many years experience in group facilitation and training as well as teaching and research. Erika was a Research Fellow in the Children's Research Centre and has been involved in a number of large research projects, most recently 'Growing Up in Ireland'. Erika has contributed to various committees in College and acted as Chair of the Trinity Research Staff Association.

Prior to joining the Office of the Vice Provost for Global Relations, Nonie worked for the Trinity International Development Initiative (TIDI), since its inception in 2009. With a strong interest in globalisation, Nonie has worked for numerous international organisations, both in Ireland and abroad, including The National Gallery of Ireland, The European Commission in Brussels, The Department of Culture in Castellon, Spain and Flow Communications in Sydney, Australia. Specialising in marketing and communications, over the last ten years, Nonie has undertaken roles in the arts and not-for-profit sector, including Communications Officer for the National Council for the Blind of Ireland, Marketing Manager of The Mill Theatre and Consultant at KTCL Consulting. Nonie is an alumnus of Trinity College Dublin having completed her primary degree in European Studies. She also holds a Masters in Cultural Policy and Arts Management, with a specialisation in audience development and marketing.

Since joining Trinity in 2010, Helen has worked as an Executive Officer in The Policy Institute in the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy. In this role Helen has been responsible for coordinating outreach activities, such as the Henry Grattan Public Lecture Series, and supporting alumni relations and fundraising activities for the School. Prior to this Helen worked in a range of communications, marketing and management roles, most recently in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Helen studied Microbiology in Trinity College Dublin and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Science from University College Cork.

Olivia is responsible for marketing the university to targeted international stakeholders. The role is a multi-faceted one and Olivia provides advice and help on marketing specifically in branding, logos, events, promotional planning and materials. Olivia also manages the office's social media channels. Olivia joined Trinity's Communications Office in 2007. Olivia holds her primary degree from Trinity College Dublin, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Italian and Classical Civilisation (2002). She was also awarded an MSc in International Marketing from DIT (2004), a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations from the PRII (2009) and is currently working towards a Diploma in Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin.

Ciara graduated with a Bachelor's degree in History and Geography from NUI Maynooth in 2002. In 2003, she graduated with a MA in Geographical Analysis from the same institution. Ciara worked in recruitment for a year before working with postgraduate nursing students in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She joined Trinity College Dublin in 2005 and worked as an Executive Officer in the Student Counselling Service for six years. During this time, she completed an NUI Certificate in Counselling Skills from NUI Maynooth (2006) and an MSc in Guidance Counselling from Dublin City University (2009). Ciara worked as a project officer providing Careers Support to International Students in the Careers Advisory Service before joining the Global Relations Team in March 2013.

Prior to her appointment as Director of Internationalisation, Sinéad was a member of the Irish diplomatic service. Her most recent position was as Deputy Head of Mission at the Irish Embassy in Madrid, where she was responsible for promoting Ireland's economic, political and cultural relations with Spain. In addition to working on political affairs in the Anglo-Irish Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs, she has held posts as Press Officer at Ireland's Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels (2000 - 2004) and Private Secretary to the Minister for Foreign Affairs (2007-2009). Sinéad is responsible for both the Regional Officers and Country Advisors.

Karen is a graduate in Sociology from Duke University and has taken modules of MBA study at Harvard, University of Virginia, Tuck, Wharton and Georgia. Her diverse career includes over twenty years of managing operations in the fields of technology, financial services and academic administration; followed by a six year period building a small business from the ground up. She has lived and worked across the US, Ireland and South America and joined Trinity College Dublin in August 2012.

After completing her Masters in English Literature, Suchita worked as a freelance writer for print and electronic media. She later moved over to the travel business and was involved in setting up a series of wildlife and birding lodges and resorts across India. Suchita was also involved in setting up an American online application platform in India. The role entailed garnering high level partnerships with companies such as Airtel (The Bharti Group), Bharti Learning, Times of India, Radio Today and Harper Collins among others. Suchita joined Trinity College Dublin in July 2012.

Niamh joined the Global Relations team as Officer Manager in January 2013. Niamh has worked in various Trinity offices since 2007 including the Graduate Studies Office, the National Institute for Intellectual Disabilities and most recently as School Administrator in the School of Psychology. Niamh holds her primary degree from St Patrick's College Maynooth, graduating with a BA in Geography and Nua-Ghaeilge (1996). She was also awarded an HDip Ed from NUI Galway (1997). Having returned from New Zealand in 2004 she achieved a MA in Globalisation from DCU.

Since joining Trinity in 2008, Gráinne has worked as an Executive Officer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery working on Postgraduate course administration. She has also supported the International Committee through which her interest in globalisation developed. Gráinne graduated from the University of Ulster in 2006 with a Degree in Social Policy and recieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Science from the Open University in 2012. Before coming to Trinity, Gráinne worked as an administrator in the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast and also coordinated workshops and liaised with voluntary youth groups in the Belfast area.

Catherine graduated with a Bachelors degree from the department of Zoology in Trinity College Dublin in 2002. In 2005, she obtained a Masters Degree in Conservation Biology from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. She then moved to the Netherlands and worked for Eurosite, a non-governmental organisation focusing on nature management across Europe. In her position at Eurosite, Catherine organised several international conferences and managed a large European networking programme funded through the European Commission. In 2009, Catherine traveled to the USA, where she was employed as a programme manager with Windustry, a non-governmental organisation that promotes progressive renewable energy solutions.

Nora came to Trinity as a postgraduate student in the School of English in 2009, where she has spent time as a research student and teaching assistant. Prior to moving to Ireland, she worked as a commercial fiction editor for multiple New York publishers, specialising in the young adult market. She holds a BS in English and Marketing from Boston College (2004), an MPhil in Popular Literature from Trinity (2010) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the TCD-UCD Innovation Academy (2013). She works on promoting Trinity to a global audience and strengthening the College's international platform.

Julie coordinates recruitment missions overseas and incoming visits to Trinity, both of which involve working with staff across and outside College. She manages various projects in collaboration with a range of offices in College, and is responsible for gathering data, creating frameworks and templates for presenting and analysing this information, preparing high level reports, and mapping the outputs of the Global Relations team. Julie was awarded a PhD by the School of English in TCD in February 2013.

She previously worked for The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) in TCD and for various student services in NUI Galway. She holds a BA in English and Computer Science from University College Cork and an MA in Writing from NUI Galway.
