Prizes

Prizes are awarded to TSM students following the Annual Examinations. For further information on TSM Prizes please see the 'Prizes and other awards' section in the College Calendar.

Ekenhead Scholarship

This scholarship was founded in 1879 by a gift from Mrs Mary Dummet in memory of her brother, Thomas Ekenhead.

The award is open to students of limited means and academic merit, natives of the county of Antrim, on the result of the Two Subject Moderatorship Junior Freshman annual examination. The Scholarship may be awarded in one or more parts.

Applications should be made in the first instance through the Senior Tutor, not later than 30th September 2012. The selection will be made on the recommendation of the Financial Assistance Committee. The Scholarship will be tenable for up to three years, renewable annually, subject to sufficient academic performance.

This Scholarship is open to TSM undergraduate students from County Antrim.

In making the award(s) of up to €5,000 the committee will have regard to the criteria of academic merit AND financial need.

The following documentation must be supplied in support of the application:

  • original birth certificate of applicant
  • notice and proof of Library Board Grant and/or Student Loan
  • HM Revenue P60 for both parents for the preceding tax year

Applications must be submitted to the Senior Tutors Office, House 27, College, by 30th September 2012.
