Student Learning Development Workshops

Four workshops designed to support you understand the University approach to academic integrity and avoiding plagiarism. The workshops are tailored to those in AHSS, STEM and also for those new to Universtiy or from another academic background.

Tues 17th October
11am - 12pm: Understanding Academic Integrity for Postgraduate students in AHSS (ONLINE)

Library HITS

Mon 16th October
11am - 12pm: Library HITS: Essay Writing from Student Learning Development
Location: North Training Room
This workshop looks at writing as a process and the various steps involved in writing an essay: planning, structuring and drafting.

Wed 18th October
3pm - 4pm: Library HITS: Skills for Academic Success from Student Learning Development
Location: North Training Room
If you want to hit the ground running with your studies, then this is the workshop for you. Lots of tips and strategies on effective study techniques!

Learn to improve your reading skills to actively promote understanding, increase concentration and improve retention. Good notes provide useful study guides for revision. This workshop will help you to learn these skills to aid your learning as you progress through your studies.
