Trinity Green labs Forum
Join us for the first TCD Green Labs Forum, hosted by NatPro, Trinity Centre for Natural Products Research and supported by TCD Sustainability Office. The Forum is aimed at bringing together TCD green labs members and anyone interested or starting their green labs journey at Trinity.
This event is designed to develop opportunities for knowledge exchange and actively encourage the progression of sustainable practices across labs. Open to the TCD community interested in the Green Lab program, the forum celebrates both the achievements of certified labs and those embarking on their green journey. The event will consist of lightning presentations from experts working in this area and facilitate an opportunity for all member to share their priorities of the upcoming months in a round table conversation.

About the speakers
Jack O Grady, My Green Labs As the Sustainability Programme Manager at My Green Lab, Jack O'Grady leads the programmes team in their flagship initiative, the My Green Lab Certification Program. His role involves collaborating with laboratories worldwide, spanning corporate and academic sectors, to foster a sustainable culture within scientific communities. My Green Lab is committed to transforming the scientific industry into a global leader in environmental sustainability, having already engaged over 900 laboratories. Jack's responsibilities include providing direct support to laboratories pursuing certification and continuously researching the latest sustainability practices to ensure the programme remains up-to-date.
Cillian Gately, NatPro Green Lab Ambassador Cillian Gately plays a significant role at NatPro Green Labs as their ambassador. His responsibilities are diverse and crucial for the sustainability of the labs. He ensures that all training and green lab standards are adhered to while also spearheading new innovations and protocols. These efforts are aimed at enhancing the environmental sustainability of NatPro's operations. Cillian’s support of the team ensured the successful Green Lab re-certification of NatPro's lab in December 2023.
Trevor Woods, Senior Technical Officer, The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, TCD
Trevor Woods has been working at Trinity College Dublin as a Senior Technical Officer in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences for 17 years. He has been an key member in implementing the green labs certificate in the teaching lab Level 1 Pharmacy and volunteers on the Trinity’s Green Campus Committee, Woods is actively involved in on-campus environmental issues and recently produced the inaugural TCD Sustainable Sculpture Competition.
