Breastfeeding & Medication Management - Research Theme
In collaboration with researchers from the Schools of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Psychology, this project, starting in September 2024, will (i) review the literature on women’s perspectives of the barriers and facilitators to medication optimisation while breastfeeding, (ii) explore the frequency and nature of medication use during the first-year postpartum and, (iii) conduct a qualitative study with women to identify the barriers and facilitators that breastfeeding mothers in Ireland experience in their medication use. The study will include PPI and co-design with the MAMMI study’s team.
