Since 2011 Professor of Midwifery Science at the Hochschule für Gesundheit-University of Applied Sciences in Bochum. Main research topics: System-immanent factors (e.g. birth room design, time of the day, hospital level) as a trigger to medical interventions during childbirth/ Women’s Health/ Human Rights in Childbirth.
