Who I am and current role: I am a psychologist and professor at City University London in the Centre for Maternal and Child Health Research. My research focuses on women’s perinatal mental health, particularly birth trauma, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as high-risk groups such as parents who have preterm or stillborn babies. I am a co-founder of the International Network for Perinatal PTSD, Chair of the Society of Reproductive & Infant Psychology, co-author of Psychology for Medicine, and editor of the Cambridge Handbook of Psychology, Health and Medicine.
