Risk Management Group

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is a sub-committee of the Executive Officer Group and is chaired by the Chief Risk Officer. The RMG meets six times per year, or as necessary, to support the Risk Management Group’s programme of work. It is responsible for guiding and directing risk management and advising the Board and management groups on risk matters.

The RMG Terms of Reference set out the specific responsibilities of the RMG, which include reporting to the Executive Officers on all risk matters; providing input and oversight of the Risk Management Policy; the development and implementation of processes to support the identification, assessment, management and reporting of risk, and the development a Risk Appetite Statement for the University and each category of risk.

Risk Management Group

Risk Assurance Function Working Group

Risk Assurance Function Working Group(RAFWG) comprises of the various organisational divisions within Trinity College that comprise the 2nd line of defence, including risk management, compliance, data protection, legal, financial controls, quality and insurance. The objectives of the Risk Assurance Function Working Group are to facilitate risk assurance planning and information sharing; enhance risk assurance processes; and support integrated risk oversight and assurance.

Risk Champions Working Group

The Trinity Risk Champions Working Group is made up of Risk Champions across the University who operate the controls and help your area with the Risk Management responsibilities.

The aim of the working group is to provides Risk Champions with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and tools they require to support their respective areas or functions in implementing effective operational risk management.
