The National Competition for Doctoral Students

Register for the “Ma thèse en 180 secondes” competition on 3rd Sept and win a place in the international final in Paris!

This year, the IUA are delighted to join with the Association des études françaises et francophones d’Irlande (ADEFFI, whose chair is Derval Conroy of UCD), the French Embassy and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie to support the national competition for doctoral students “Ma thèse en 180 secondes” (My thesis in 3 minutes).

This competition is open to all doctoral students at an Irish HEI who wish to present their research in 3 minutes – in French – to a non-specialist audience. The competition will take place online on the evening of 3 September 2021, the day before the ADEFFI annual conference. A number of generous prizes are on offer, including for the winner a fully-paid trip to Paris to participate in the international final of the MT180 competition at the end of September.
