Scientists in artificial intelligence, linguistics, neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy of mind (among others) make routine reference to representations. At the same time, there is broad-based recognition that the concept of representation is vague or even positively unhelpful. Reliance on such a concept results in miscommunication within the discourse on mind. RPPF works toward a solution to this problem.
