CRF and TTMI to jointly host Symposium on Public and patient Involvement in Research to Celebrate International Clinical Trials Day

The Wellcome – HRB Clinical Research Facility and the Trinity Translational Medicine Institute are celebrating International Clinical Trials Day by hosting a half day symposium on Public and Patient Involvement in Clinical Research.

The symposium is intended for clinician scientists and translational scientists wishing to learn about the practical steps required to ensure the meaningful involvement of the public and patients in clinical research.  The event takes place from 0900 to 1300 on Friday 19th May at St. James’s Hospital and the programme will feature:

  • Jennifer Preston, Patient and Public Involvement Priority Lead, National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) UK
  • Dr. Anne Cody, Health Research Board
  • Case studies of funded research studies that exemplify public and patient involvement
  • Opportunities to engage with panel members willing to share best practice approaches to Public and Patient Involvement.
