Kingm4Michael King is the Director of the Trinity Impact Evaluation Research Centre (TIME) and Assistant Professor of Economics at Trinity College, University of Dublin. His areas of research include financial inclusion, social protection, and household dynamics with a focus on behavioural and experimental economics. He holds a BA and PhD in Economics from Trinity College, University of Dublin and an Masters in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard University. Michael has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the OECD, the Overseas Development Institute(ODI) and various governments across Europe.

aramosAlejandra Ramos is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics at Trinity College Dublin. Her research draws causal links between what society thinks is okay for women and men to do and what we effectively choose. She specialises in intimate partner violence, gender-based violence and gender norms. She also researches how to retain and motivate talented workers.  She obtained her B.A. in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She holds an M.Sc. in Economics from HEC Lausanne and a Ph.D. in Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.  She has worked as a Research Fellow and consultant for Inter-American Development Bank. She is also a member of the  CESifo Research Network.

tbediTara Bedi is a Marie Curie (CAROLINE) Irish Research Council Fellow in the Economics Department at Trinity College Dublin. She is a development economist with a focus on gender and social protection and is working on projects in Ethiopia, India, Malawi, and Mauritania. Prior to this, she worked with Trócaire, an Irish NGO. Before moving to Ireland, Tara worked in the Poverty Reduction Group at the World Bank, where she worked and published on impact evaluations, poverty maps and poverty monitoring systems. She received a master’s degree in Public Administration in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School. She holds a PhD in Development Economics from Trinity College Dublin.

guarisoaCarol Newman is Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics, Trinity College Dublin and co-founder of TIME. Her research is in the microeconomics of development with a focus on both household and enterprise behaviour.  She is engaged in research projects across Africa and South East Asia.  She completed a B.A. (Mod) at Trinity in 1998 and PhD in 2001 and joined the staff of the Department of Economics in 2002. She was a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago in 2007, at the University of Copenhagen in 2006 and for the 2013-2014 academic year, and at the University of Bologna in 2018.   She is a non-resident research fellow of UNU-WIDER, a research associate of the Development Economics Research Group at the University of Copenhagen and a consultant to the World Bank.

gulescisSelim Gulesci is an Associate Professor of Economics at Trinity College, University of Dublin and an affiliate of the Trinity Impact Evaluation Research Centre (TIME). His areas of research include small business development, microfinance, education and gender-based violence. He holds a PhD in Economics from London School of Economics and a BSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Sabanci University.

Andrea Guariso is a Senior Assistant Professor of Economics at University of Milan-Bicocca and an affiliate of the Trinity Impact Evaluation Research Centre (TIME). He is an applied economist with a prime interest in development and a focus on ethnic diversity, health, and education. He holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from Bocconi University and a Ph.D. in Economics from KU Leuven. He previously worked as an Assistant Professor in Economics at Trinity College Dublin, as well as as a consultant for the World Bank and the European Commission.
