The Dublin Taxi Market: Re-regulate or Stay Queuing? examines how this particular market is performing in terms of meeting the demands placed on it. The analysis of the market draws on relevant economic literature to highlight the broad principles that should apply to any proposed reform. About the Author

John Fingleton is Chairman of the Competition Authority. His main research interest is in policy applications in competition policy, regulation and related areas and he is the author of several articles on competition policy in Ireland.
