New Testament and Early
Christianity
Part 2: Pauline letters in context
This course aims at introducing students to the
collection of New Testament epistles written or
attributed to the apostle Paul. Students will gain
familiarity with key theological themes in Paul’s
letters and a deep understanding of the social,
historical and cultural context in which Paul
wrote them. The course will study in depth the
text of the Pauline letters, with particular
emphasis on 1 Thessalonians, Galatians,

and 2 Corinthians and Romans.

Systematic Theology
Part 1: Philosophical and theological
approaches to God
This course commences with an examination of
the case for and against natural theology. This
includes a discussion of the classical arguments
for the existence of God, together with an
examination of the Enlightenment project and
its impact on modern Christian theology. The
course concludes with a discussion of the notion
of revelation.
