Trinity Alumni Appeal

In challenging times, it’s natural to concentrate our generosity on the people and causes that really matter. Which is why we are asking Trinity graduates to  consider making a donation to our Alumni Appeal.

Since its launch in March 2011, the Alumni Appeal has raised almost €150,000 from more than 800 alumni and friends. Specifically, the appeal supports student scholarship and access to education, and its funds are facilitated through the schools and the Trinity Access Programmes (TAP).

When you make a donation to Trinity, you’re not just sustaining a centuries old tradition of excellence. You’re making a vital contribution to a better future for our people, country, and planet.

Today Trinity is home to over 2,000 ground-breaking post-graduate research projects which need and deserve your support, from developing treatments for killer diseases and advancing equality in the developing world to creating lucrative new technologies and challenging long held cultural assumptions.

There are also more than 500 students currently being supported by the Trinity Access Programmes who, owing to their personal circumstances, would otherwise not be able to reach their academic potential.

By donating to Trinity, you’re helping realise these vital projects, and enabling people from diverse backgrounds overcome educational barriers so that they can make a greater contribution to society.

How your donation will be used...

Donations will be passed in their entirety to support scholarship in the school where respective alumni graduated. Unless directed otherwise, 75% of your funds will be allocated to support postgraduate students and other scholars. These funds will be used to cover postgraduate scholarship, conference and travel stipends, academic excellence awards, and other initiatives. Find out how Schools have started to use these funds.

The remaining 25% will be used to support bright students in your school from lower income groups. This support will be managed by the Trinity Access Programmes (TAP).

If you have any questions about where your money will go, or if you have particular wishes for your gift, please contact the office on +353 1 896 8960.
