Dean of Students' Roll of Honour

Message from the Dean of Students:

Dear Student,

In Trinity College Dublin, we are extremely proud of the extracurricular activity undertaken by students which ensures a vibrant campus and offers students diverse and multidimensional opportunities for learning, social development and personal growth. The Dean of Students' Roll of Honour serves to celebrate and recognise student volunteering in clubs, societies, publications and the wider community.  Students who are registered at the time of the application deadline are eligible to apply.

The criteria for inclusion on the Dean of Students' Roll of Honour are as follows:

  • Dedication of a minimum of 20 hours to any one form of extra-curricular voluntary activity within the twelve months prior to the application deadline.
  • Only participation in activities that entails some element of organisation and/or delivery of the activity in question will be taken into account (e.g. volunteering as a scout leader, student journalist or (sub)committee member of a college club or society).
  • Verification of the commitment of hours by the club, society or organisation with whom the activity took place.
  • Completion of the online reflective application form through which students articulate their objectives and expectations of the activity and also any learning derived from the activity.

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to engage in extra-curricular activity with  clubs, societies, publications and other groups whether in College or in the wider community over the coming academic year and to apply for it to be recognised at the Dean of Students' Roll of Honour Ceremony to be held on Trinity Wednesday.

Headshot of Dr. Amanda Piesse, Dean of StudentsWishing you the best of luck in your voluntary endeavours,
