The Saturday Club is our flagship programme, which runs alongside 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th year of secondary school. Club members who join in their second year, can remain involved and continue building their knowledge and skills for up to four years.
Trinity Walton Club members meet on Saturdays in our virtual learning hub- ‘the Nucleus.’ In the Nucleus, students are referred to as ‘Alphas’. The Nucleus contains several unique team channels for Alphas to engage in maths, physics, technology and engineering live sessions. Saturday sessions are facilitated by passionate members of Trinity’s undergraduate and postgraduate communities.
Throughout their Club journey, Alphas develop competencies across creative problem solving, critical thinking, communication, collaboration and research. Uniquely, TWC (Trinity Walton Club) virtual also provides an opportunity to develop the learner's digital literacy.
Secondary school students from 2nd to 6th year of secondary school Places are allocated on a first come, first-served basis.
The Club sessions will be hosted through Microsoft Teams
We recommend that you use a large screen i.e. a desktop or laptop that has internet connectivity. We also encourage you to have a webcam and speaker.
What our Alphas Say...
“Physics was enjoyable and fun to learn which was good experience for me.”
“My favourite experience as an Alpha was learning about light physics, making friends and working on the group project together.”
What their Parents Say...
“My son had made friends online with the club so much so that they are planning on running their own session this Saturday in minecraft!”
“TWC Virtual is a way for non-sporty kids to engage in a club and make friends. While all the learning is amazing this is the number one for me.”
