The Book of Kells Creative Competition 2019 has launched and this year’s theme is Irish culture and the Book of Kells.
The competition is open to all ages and prizes range from VIP trips to cash prizes of up to €800. All winners and runners up will be invited to attend an exciting awards ceremony in the stunning Trinity College Dublin campus.
There are two competition categories: Art and Writing. If art is your passion you are invited to create a drawing, sketch or painting inspired by Irish culture and the Book of Kells. If writing is your medium you are invited to write a poem or short story about Irish culture and the Book of Kells.
We are thrilled that Sharon Ní Bheoláin of RTÉ News has joined our judging panel for the second year running. Speaking at the competition launch she said “I’m looking forward to seeing exciting and innovative interpretations of this years theme.”
Now is the time to get your paint brushes and pens out and create a piece of art or writing inspired by the world’s most famous medieval manuscript.
