An in-person conference on Silva Gadelica organised by the Department of Irish and Celtic Studies in the School of Languages Literature and Cultural Studies.
This conference is about Silva Gadelica (a collection of editions and English translations of Old and Early Modern Irish prose texts) and it is considered a seminal work on this subject. It was edited by Standish Hayes O’Grady and first published in 1892. A strong line-up of speakers will address various aspects of the text itself and review progress in the field since it was first published.
