TLRH | Lived Experience and Social Policy

A half day in-person seminar organised by the School of Social Work and Social Policy, Trinity College Dublin, kindly supported by the Trinity Long Room Hub, welcomes Dr Laura Tarkiainen (Tampere) and Dr Fiona Dukelow (UCC).
As part of this half day seminar event, The School of Social Work and Social Policy, Trinity College Dublin, is pleased to welcome visiting scholar, Dr Laura Tarkiainen from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tampere, Finland. Dr Tarkiainen is a University Instructor and post-doctoral researcher at Tampere University, Finland. Her main research interests concern un/conditionality and welfare deservingness. Currently, and she is currently writing a monograph entitled Deservingness in Welfare Policy and Practice: Discursive and Rhetorical Approaches and working (together with Drs Helena Blomberg and Christian Kroll) on qualitative interview material on the Finnish Basic Income Experiment (2017-2018). As part of this half day seminar, Dr Tarkiainen will present on her ongoing research.
Following this, Dr Fiona Dukelow from the School of Applied Social Studies, University College Cork and Dr Joe Whelan from the School of Social Work and Social Policy, Trinity College Dublin, will present on their ongoing joint research and developing research agenda.
