TLRH | Identities in Transformation Postgraduate Seminar: The Stories we Tell
Tuesday, 1 December 2020, 2 – 3:30pm
A research seminar as part of the Identities in Transformation Postgraduate Seminar Series, in association with Trinity Long Room Hub.
The fifth and final in this series of postgraduate seminars investigates the stories we tell and how those stories define, reveal, or modify what we consider to be our identity/identities. Talks will focus on the distinctions inherent to the narratives, and the laws and politics that construct identity and identities, with commentary on how crucial transgression and absence of boundaries are to narrated and performed identities.
The seminar will feature talks by Alexandra Corey (School of Languages and Literatures), Dawn Seymour Klos (School of Histories and Humanities), and Elena Schaa (School of Religion). They will be joined by Dr Sarah Alyn Stacey (Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, School of Languages and Literatures).
