Lá Domhanda an Ghlóir/World Voice Day

A musical celebration hosted by the Phonetics and Speech Lab (TCD) in collaboration with the School of Linguistic, Speech and Communication Sciences.
Déanfar ceiliúradh ceolmhar ar an nglór – daonna agus digiteach – i gColáiste na Tríonóide ar an 16 Aibreán 2019. Tabharfaidh foireann ABAIR sa tSaotharlann Fograíochta agus Urlabhra spléachadh ar an taighde atá ar siúl i dtaca leis an nglór agus le teicneolaíocht na hurlabhra don Ghaeilge. Tá an tionscadal ABAIR dírithe ar chórais shintéiseacha a fhorbairt do na canúintí éagsúla. A musical celebration of the voice- both human and synthetic - will be held in Trintity College on 16 April 2019. Researchers working on the ABAIR initiative in the Phonetics and Speech Lab will showcase ongoing voice research and technology development for the Irish language. ABAIR focuses on the development of state-of-the-art synthesis systems, featuring a variety of different voices and dialects. The main webpage (www.abair.ie) along with educational and accessibility applications which use the ABAIR speech synthesis system as their core technology will be featured on the night. We look forward to welcoming you with wine and refreshments.
