Ireland in 2040: Managing change over a generation
The Government after several years of preparation have launched the National Planning Framework and an aligned National Development Plan. The publication of both aligned policy documents is an important step in delivering a fully integrated and aligned development framework for Ireland. The challenge now confronting policy makers at all levels of government is to advance implementation. This year's symposium examines these challenges and will seek to suggest practical solutions to some of the many potential barriers to successful delivery of these two critical policy initiatives, especially as Ireland finally returns to a population level that last existed prior to the Great Famine.
