INTRODUCTION
What potential has yet to be discovered and promoted within the arts of today and of the future?
This event aims to discuss the status of creative arts in society today through performative dialogue between poetry, visuals arts, music and translation. We will present theories and practices within the current creative arts and investigate new possibilities for relationships between the arts and contemporary society.
The speakers, predominantly from Italy, will share their experiences and the process behind their creations.
The day is structured in such a way as to promote collaboration between the arts and a model of mutual inspiration and support. The event will bring together individuals from different disciplines and backgrounds in the arts and invite the participation of a wider audience through a round-table discussion, where artists, scholars and speakers may feel free to share their views on current options for promoting the arts in multi-cultural communities. There will also be a concert of experimental music dedicated to the interpretation of contemporary poems and an exhibition of original neo-avantegardes’ works.
We hope to design new landscapes for interaction and new forms of communication to combat dominating and sterile business and social media platforms.
Organised by: Dr Giuliana Adamo and Ph.D. candidate Bianca Battilocchi
