Environmental Narratives in Irish Romanticism

The Staff-Postgraduate Seminar is thrilled to welcome Professor Claire Connolly as the final guest speaker of 2017. Professor Connolly’s talk will be entitled ‘Estuarine Affordances: Environmental Narratives in Irish Romanticism.’ Please join us in the Trinity Long Room Hub at 5pm on Tuesday 12th December, followed by a wine reception.
Professor joins us from University College Cork where she is Professor of Modern English. She has published widely on the Irish novel and cultural history including A Cultural History of the Irish Novel, 1790-1829 (2010). She is also Vice Chair (Ireland) of the International Association for the Study of Irish Literature; and Co-Director of the Wales-Ireland Research Network.
