Prohibited Czech Literature and Charter 77

This seminar will explore prohibited Czech literature of the 1970s and 1980s, samizdat, and exile publishing, as well as the significance of Charter 77. Two guest speakers will participate in the seminar, Tomáš Vrba and Alice Hyrmanová McElveen.
There will be a reception following the the lecture.
This seminar is presented by the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Dublin, and the Trinity Centre for Literary Translation.
