Identities in Urban Contexts: The European Multilingual City

Researchers from the Jean Monnet EUROMEC Network (European Identity, Culture, Exchanges and Multilingualism) will spend a week at the Trinity Long Room Hub for their third annual Summer School (10-13 July), international conference (14-15 July) and final network consortium meeting (16 July). The theme of the week is “Identities in urban contexts: The European multilingual city”.
Forty-five doctoral and early career researchers will participate in the summer school, joined by more than 30 international experts from the US, China, Brazil and Europe, from the fields of sociology, philosophy, linguistics, education, law, political science and education. Plenary speakers include Professor Itesh Sachdev (Emeritus Professor of Language and Communication, SOAS, University of London), Professor David Little (Fellow Emeritus, Trinity College Dublin) and Professor Dora Kostakopoulou (Law School, University of Warwick, UK).
