30 + 1: Italo Calvino

A commemoration of Italo Calvino (who died in 1985), seen an influentially international writer, deeply intercultural, linked intertextually to traditions such as the Renaissance and Modernism, and open to the future to the point of anticipating post-human concerns. Some presentations on Calvino’s work will be followed by readings in English, Chinese and Italian from his work. Participants: Roberto Bertoni (TCD), Enrica Maria Ferrara (TCD), Eric Haywood (UCD), Lihong Li (TCD), Renata Sperandio (ICI).
