Early-career researchers are a core element of the Trinity Long Room Hub’s research and learning environment. Since the building opened in 2010, the Trinity Long Room Hub has been home to up to 50 PhD students and postdoctoral fellows annually, mostly nominated by their Schools. They form an integral part of our community and actively participate in our programmes and events.
To date we have hosted 187 early-career researchers from 30 countries. 159 of this total have been PhD students and 28 postdoctoral fellows. Our requirement is that nominees have achieved research excellence, ideally recognised through external funding, usually by the Irish Research Council. Details of our current and past graduate and postdoctoral fellows are available below and you can meet some of our current fellows in this short video clip.
